At First Baptist Church of Manning, we believe children are a vital part of the church today—not just the future of it. Our Children’s Ministry is dedicated to teaching kids about God’s love in a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment.

Little Lights

Kids here at First Baptist!

Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith.

Nursery: Available for children birth through age 2 during Sunday School and the 11:00 AM Sunday Worship service and Wednesday night activities.
Sunday School: Age-appropriate classes for preschoolers through senior adults.
Children’s Church: Offered during the 11:00 AM worship service for children ages 3 through 2nd grade.
Wednesdays: Wednesday nights are full of fun, learning, and missions-focused activities for our children! We offer hands-on missions classes as well as engaging music instruction in choir, handbells, and chimes. Students learn musical pieces throughout the year to perform at Christmas and during our Youth-Led Worship service.

Missions Classes

On Wednesday evenings, our children focus on missions discipleship through age-specific programs using WMU curriculum:

Girls in Action (GA)

A missions discipleship group for girls in grades 1–6. GA helps girls grow closer to God as they learn about missions, explore other cultures, and participate in hands-on service projects.

Royal Ambassadors (RA)

A missions discipleship group for boys in grades 1–6. RA equips boys with opportunities for spiritual and character growth through missions involvement.

Mission Friends

Designed for preschoolers (birth through kindergarten), Mission Friends introduces our youngest children to God’s love for all people and the importance of sharing that love with others.

Safety & Check-In

All children are dropped off and picked up in our recently updated and completely secure children’s wing. We use the KidCheck check-in system to ensure every child is accounted for and every volunteer is screened—so parents can attend services with peace of mind.
